Well, Plank Road Pizza Co., a quasi-secret society for carb eatin’ fools is preparing to host its first public event called Pies and Pints. This fundraising dinner at Farwell House is a fantastic opportunity for guests (8 total) to explore the world of craft pizza and craft beer. Potential guests will have the opportunity to bid on one or more of the eight individual seats at our dinner table.
The evening will start off with the Plank Road charcuterie board featuring an assortment of cured meats, artisanal cheeses, and small fare. Following appetizers, the real fun will begin! Craft beer flight? YES! Craft pizza flight? YES! Throughout the course of the evening, guest will have the opportunity to sample three (yes three!!) different craft pizzas paired with three different craft beers. Each offering will consist of two slices of pizza and a 4-ounce pour of the paired beer per person. Don’t worry, there is a method to this madness. Think of each pie and pint pairing as a separate course. And yes, this is a crazy amount of pizza (expect to take a few slices home). After the main courses we will close out the night with a light dessert (trust me, after all that pizza, you will thank us). To keep everyone on their toes pizzas and beers will not be announced beforehand. Trust us, you will not be disappointed.
The first Pies and Pints event will take place on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 6-9pm at Farwell House.
