Renovations and repairs have been moving forward at Farwell House. Currently, we are mudding and taping cracks in the plaster walls and trenching for our new water line. As you can see from the photo there are a crazy amount of cracks to be taken care of. The second-floor hallways along with the stairwell up to the third floor have been taped. Now it’s time to move onto individual rooms on the second floor. Once all the rooms have been taped we will begin the process of applying three separate layers of drywall mud to the walls. Mud, sand, mud, sand, mud, sand. Some folks have said the walls look like an artwork in themselves. I have to admit I find them very interesting but of course, they will not be staying this way. Although this is quite a laborious process, the finished product will be well worth it.
